KHiO graphic design and illustration alumni Hermann Enkerud was exhibited at this years Høstutstillingen exhibition. Hermann is part of the art collective Narves1bibioteket, but the work exhibited is a collaboration with his mother.
«'Tre enker som myrder sine menn etter hjemkomst' is a painting I made together with my mom, Helle Carine Breda» Hermann explains. «We agreed on a subject matter, and painted in turn untill both of us thought the painting was finished. This way of working is close to the work flow of graphic design and illustration, where one rarely works alone.»
Hermann was surprised when he got the news that his paiting had been selected for the prestigious exhibition. «It was a big moment. Me and mom agreed that it should be exhibited at Høstustillingen, but it was nice that the jury agreed with us. I called my mom as she was travelling to our cabin with my dad, and they were both very happy about it. It was a real YES-moment.»
His hest advice to be selected for Høstutstillingen is simply to apply.
